The 18th Cambridge Scout Group is proud to launch the first phase of The Gallery! From 1st May, the groups vast collection of photos, audio clips and video footage taken at special scouting events and weekly meetings will be available to view online.

The Gallery has long been an ambition for the 18th Cambridge website and has been compiled by Assistant Beaver Leader, Simon Gates, with the help of the Cub leaders.

Simon hopes The Gallery may broaden scouting's appeal locally;

"We want parents and the public to be able to see the sort of activities we do, and how much fun people can have, both young and old, by becoming a scout. The photos and videos tell their own stories."

The first phase introduces recent media to the archive, mainly consisting of events and meetings within the last year. The second phase, which will include media from 2006 and 2007, will be available from the beginning of June.

The final phase of The Gallery will include media prior to 2005, and should be available by September. All 2008 events from May will be uploaded soon after they happen.
