Seasonal weather has taken hold as the 18th Cambridge Scout Group welcome two new members.

Following an unusually chilly week, with several snow showers across Cambridge, the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have been given an opportunity to take advantage of the weather.

Cubs and Scouts challenged each other to a snowman building competition, followed by a snowball fight against the leaders, whilst the Beavers benefitted from a fresh sprinkle of snow on the Thursday.

At the same time, the 18th officially welcomed two new adults to the group. Robbie Jagger, a scout parent, and Steve Mounsey, a former scout from Yorkshire, have kindly stepped forward to help the Scout Troop.

Robbie will be assisting the Troop part time, due to work commitments, whilst Steve will take on a full-time assisting role. Steve also has plenty of experience in activities such as climbing and canoeing, and is keen to share this with the troop.
