Group Teams up with Toy Retailer for Fundraiser |
||||||||||||||||||
The Group, currently fundraising for the 40th anniversary celebrations that are taking place over the next 12 months, have been given an opportunity to pocket 10% of any bulk order placed by parents through the 18th until the end of November. This means that if 20 parents were to purchase £50 worth of products each (a £1,000 order), the group would walk away with £100 in fundraising. Hawkins Bazaar catalogues are currently being circulated to members of the group in the run up to Christmas so they can browse current products and prices. Parents will then have until 30th November to submit any orders using the group's special order form. Payments for all orders are being made to the group, with leaders submitting a bulk order in early December. Delivery and distribution of products is then anticipated to take place in time for Christmas. Assistant Cub Scout Leader and Hawkins Bazaar employee, Chris Gawthrop-Bleet, commended the company for their charity; "It's great that the company are supporting the local community in this way and will help the 18th to raise enough money for some exciting 40th anniversary events." The Hawkins Bazaar offer is one of many fundraising opportunities currently being considered as a means of raising the 18th's £1,000 anniversary target. Other ideas include a 40-for-£40 sponsorship challenge and a community Quiz Night. |
