18th Cambridge Scout Leader and webmaster, Simon Gates, has launched a special Facebook Group for all members, parents and leaders of the 18th.

The group, which will allow all past, present and future members to keep in contact with each other, will also allow members to keep up to date with events and see what the group has been up to.

Members will also be able to write on the group wall, put forward ideas for events and activities on the discussion board, and upload photos to the gallery for everyone to see.

On setting up the group Simon commented;

"Facebook is one of the most popular ways in which people communicate with friends and families in the modern age. I believe the 18th can use it as a tool to share resources, updates and discussions that aren't currently available on our own website. It's an easy way for members to stay involved with decision-making and share ideas for moving the group forward."
