Cubs take up County Challenges

Challenge Day 20079 members of the 18th Cambridge Cub Pack have been put to the test over the weekend in the annual County Cub Scout Challenge. The event, which took place at the Copley Scout Centre in St Ives, brings more than 300 Cubs from across the county together for a day filled with a variety of tasks.

Open to those aged 9 and over, the Cubs were involved in fire lighting, cooking, emergency aid, pioneering, climbing and canoing to mention a few. But it wasn't all hard work! The Cubs also enjoyed time for games and several trips on the zip wire.

All Cubs who took part had a thouroughly enjoyable day and managed to complete a number of badges. All those who were too young are looking forward to their turn next year.
