The 18th Beaver leaders have been left stunned after an amazing late flurish of Active Kids voucher donations. In the final week of collection, the group had just managed to meet it's target of 3,000 vouchers...but by the end of Thursday's Beaver meeting, the total collected had jumped to a whopping 4,200.

On finding out the total, Simon commented;

"This is an absolute shock, completely unexpected! We knew the group had managed to raise the 3,000 target, but to surpass it by so much on the final day is fantastic. It's an amazing result so the parents and supports should be very pleased of what they've managed to achieve."

However, there are still more vouchers to be collected, including a box full left by students at Sidney Sussex College still awaiting to be recovered and added to the total.

The group have until the end of June to submit their order for this year's scheme. It is hoped the total voucher count will reach 5,000.
