We're Active Kids

Sainsbury's Active Kids 2008Supermarket chain Sainsbury's has relaunched the 'Active Kids' voucher scheme and the 18th Cambridge Scout Group would like to ask parents to start collecting. Last year the group managed to raise over 4,000 vouchers to acquire some new games equipment, but this year would like to do even better.

Beaver Leader, Emma Roberts, says the group has a lot to gain from the scheme;

"Schemes like this allow us to get valuable equipment at very little cost to ourselves. Any free equipment we can get our hands on means money that would have been spent on equipment can now be spent on specialised activities or subsidising day trips. Last year proved very successful and this year we would like to do even better"

As well a games equipment, the 18th are also eyeing up some new outdoor equipment, which could be used by the Cubs and Scouts during camps and hikes.
