23 Beavers from the 12th, 18th & 26th Cambridge colonies (TriBe) have been hunting for wildlife at the 2008 Cambridge Beaver Activity Day.

This year's event, held at Abington Campsite, ran with a Safari theme. The morning consisted of animal bases, including some animal sight-seeing and tracking over the site. Other activities included cooking on open fire, making animal masks and target practice.

After a hot meal, the Beavers gathered together for a wide game. 10 Leaders hid around this site, holding the paw prints of a particular animal. The Beavers were split into teams, given an animal card and asked to find the correct paw print for the card they were given. The team who collected the most cards with paw prints, won.

The event ended with a huge campfire singsong, with plenty of loud chanting and group sing-offs as the sun began to set.
